Randall Williams had his preliminary hearing today. The deputy district attorney presented the case that they had against Randall Williams which mostly consisted of Happy the bartender testifying that he saw Williams talking to Yolanda Sanchez the night before she was killed. According to the news reporters there was no DNA evidence linking Williams to Yolanda Sanchez. Williams attorney argued that there was no evidence that Williams had killed Sanchez. The news said that the deputy DA argued that the absence of any of William's DNA on Ms. Sanchez was suspicious enough for a holding because William's was seen kissing Sanchez at the bar. The deputy DA argued that there should have been some of Williams DA on Sanchez and the fact that there wasn't was circumstantial evidence that he cleaned up the body after killing her to remove his DNA. William's attorney argued that this was not evidence that her client committed the murder. The Judge agreed and Williams was set free later that day.
According to the news report William's declined to make any comments after his release. His attorney, however, used the no holding order to condemn my parents as "lawless vigilantes who harass innocent people and create an atmosphere of fear in St. Christopher". Mom and Dad were not very happy after hearing that.
